Founder
Pakistanis in Kuwait.com (PIK) was founded by Atif Siddiqui in July 2007. Mr. Siddiqui moved to Kuwait in May 1998 to work for a private company. His deep love for Pakistan and its people has been evident since his childhood. To express this affection, he created his first personal email address, Atif_pak@…, where “Atif” is his first name and “Pak” signifies his love for Pakistan.
Our History
In 1999, Mr. Atif Siddiqui created the first group/room named “Pakistanis in Kuwait” on Paltalk.com. A few months later, following the advice of group members, he renamed it to “Pakistanis (Boys & Girls) in Kuwait.” Later that year, he designed his first personal website using free web hosting and ready-made templates, purely for fun. He also added pictures of himself and his family to the site.
In June 2007, after a long break, Atif Siddiqui purchased the domain name www.atifsiddiqui.com and designed his own website pages to gain more experience in the internet industry. His colleagues appreciated his efforts and advised him to add more activities to his website. In August 2007, he realized that while there were websites in Kuwait representing various countries, there was no professional website for Pakistanis in Kuwait, except for the non-professional Pakistan embassy website. This inspired him to develop a website representing his nation in Kuwait. He initially tried to buy the domain name www.pakistanisinkuwait.com, but it was already reserved and not in use. Consequently, he purchased www.pakistanisinkuwait.net and www.pakiinkuwait.com. After a year, he decided to keep only www.pakistanisinkuwait.net and let go of www.pakiinkuwait.com.
In May 2009, Atif Siddiqui received an email from his domain registrar informing him that the domain name www.pakistanisinkuwait.com was available. Seizing the opportunity, he purchased the domain immediately. Since then, the website’s design has undergone numerous changes, and it now attracts a large number of visitors. Additionally, the PIK Facebook page (facebook.com/pakistanisinkuwait) has also gained significant traction.
