DOHA: Kuwait Equestrian Federation Vice President and international rider Shaker Jamal Al-Kazemi praised the impressive performances delivered by Kuwait’s national equestrian team during the ongoing 4th Gulf Games in Doha, highlighting the riders’ achievements as a reflection of the country’s growing stature in the sport.

Al-Kazemi congratulated Kuwait’s equestrian community following the silver medal triumph of Gulf and Asian champion Ali Jassim Al-Kharafi in the individual 145cm jumping competition. Al-Kharafi secured second place after qualifying for the jump-off round and completing his ride in 37.96 seconds without penalty points. UAE rider Abdullah Al-Mehairi claimed the gold medal with a winning time of 34.58 seconds. The event also featured strong performances from Kuwait’s national team riders, who had earlier captured the bronze medal in the team competition.

Al-Kazemi emphasized that Kuwait continues to produce exceptional talent across all equestrian categories, pointing to the rise of promising young rider Hussein Ahmed Al-Kharafi. Competing against senior riders, Hussein delivered a standout performance to finish fourth in the individual competition, further cementing his reputation at both the local and Gulf levels. He also contributed to Kuwait’s bronze-medal finish in the team event alongside Ali Al-Kharafi, Anaz Al-Anaz, and Yara Al-Huneidi.
