KUWAIT: A trivial dispute turned into a bloody nightmare in Farwaniya Governorate when a young Pakistani expatriate, in his late twenties, brutally killed his own father over a cigarette.

The shocking crime, which occurred a week ago, was carried out using a pair of scissors, with the son stabbing his father multiple times until he succumbed to his injuries.

The case was kept under wraps for several days while investigations were underway. Authorities eventually arrested the son, described as ungrateful and defiant, and transferred him to the Central Prison.

He now faces severe legal consequences for a crime that has left behind a chilling story of patricide driven by anger over something as trivial as a cigarette.
