Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait Public Announcements

The Second Round of Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and Kuwait was held on 29th May 2016 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuwait.

Mr. Muhammad Waheed-ul-Hassan, Special Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led Pakistan's delegation, which also included the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait. The Kuwaiti side was led by Ambassador Ali Sulaiman Al-Saeed, Assistant Foreign Minister, Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the entire gamut of bilateral relations. Expressing satisfaction on the existing level of relationship, both the delegations agreed on the need to further strengthen the two way ties. They in particular agreed to increase interaction at leadership level, promote investments, enhance exchange of visits by businessmen, and raise cooperation between Pakistan and the Kuwait Fund for development projects in Pakistan. The two sides also discussed ways and means to ease visa restrictions on Pakistan nationals and increase recruitment of Pakistani manpower for employment in Kuwait, keeping in view the close and fraternal ties between the two countries.

Views were also exchanged on the issues confronting the region. The Special Secretary while highlighting Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's vision of a "Peaceful Neighbourhood" briefed the Kuwaiti side on the efforts being made by Pakistan towards promotion of friendly relations with its neighbours. He also highlighted the achievements made under the ongoing operation' Zarb-e-Azb' against terrorists.

The Pakistani side also briefed the Kuwaiti side on efforts for increasing regional connectivity through China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and invited them to invest in energy and infrastructure development projects in Pakistan.

Embassy of Pakistan: The Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Ghulam Dastgir, today called on H.E. Sheikh Slaman Sabah Salem Al-Hamood Al-Sabah, Minister of Information and Minister of State of Youth Affairs of Kuwait. Matters of mutual interest and cooperation in the field of media were discussed during the meeting. Ambassador highlighted the role of media and the challenges to regulate it in the contemporary world. The Ambassador praised the existing level of brotherly relations between the two states and the expressed desire of Pakistani leadership to expand cooperation between the two brotherly countries in diverse fields including media. The Minister warmly welcomed the Ambassador and briefed him about the vibrant media in Kuwait and measure being taken by the state of Kuwait to regulate the media in positive development of youth.

The Ambassador invited the Minister to visit Pakistan at a convenient time. The Minister assured the Ambassador of his full support to the Embassy's efforts in enhancing mutual cooperation.

Kuwait: An impressive reception was held at the Crown Plaza Kuwait organized by the Pakistan Embassy in Kuwait to Celebrate the auspicious occasion of the 76th Pakistan Day.
His Excellency Ghulam Dastgir, Mrs. Ambassador with his Embassy staffs welcomed. A large no. of guests also General Staff members and members of the Diplomatic Corps, Media person attended the celebration. H.E. Ms. Hind Al-Sabeeh Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Minister of State for Development and Planning Affairs was the Chief Guest.

 

 

Embassy of Pakistan organized National Day

A Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held in the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Kuwait on Wednesday Morning on 23rd March 2016 to observe Pakistan Day.
A large no of Pakistani Community Heads, businessmen, Social & Cultural Representatives , media elites and officials of the Embassy were attended on the occasion.
The 76th Pakistan Resolution Day anniversary was held in calls for reaffirmation of our resolve to follow the democratic ideals of Father of the Nation and rededicate our energies to uphold the principles of constitutionalism. Earlier, the messages of President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out to the participants by His Excellency Mr. Ghulam Dastgir.

He emphasized that as we pay homage to the countless sacrifices of our forefathers, we should also not forget the golden principles which shaped their lives.
Newly appointed the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait His Excellency Mr. Ghulam Dastgir welcomed all the attendees & said that 23rd March is remembered as a golden chapter in our history as it depicts the unmatched determination of the Muslims of the subcontinent and their self-less struggle for a separate homeland in which they could live with dignity as an independent Muslim nation.


The ceremony concluded with offering dua for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and its people.

 

 

(19) Pakistanis in Kuwait

(2016-02-15) Today H.E Ambassador-designate Ghulam Dastgir had a meeting with His Excellency Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait and presented copy of letter of credence. Foreign Minister received the Ambassador with warmth and assured of his full support and cooperation for promotion and strengthening of existing brotherly relations between the two countries.

In the brief meeting, Ambassador-designate highlighted the impending issue of visa restrictions on Pakistan nationals and emphasized that the visa ban is causing hardship for the families of Pakistanis working here and is a major hindrance in promotion of our relations.

Earlier on 11 February 2016 upon arrival to Kuwait, H.E Ghulam Dastgir, and Ambassador-designate of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the State of Kuwait was received by representatives of Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officers of the Pakistan Embassy. The very next day Ambassador had a meeting with Ambassador Dhari Al-Ajran, Assistant Foreign Minister for Protocol Affairs, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuwait.

 

A well attended program was Organized at Embassy of Pakistan, Kuwait on Friday, 5th February 2016, to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people. A cross section of the representatives of Pakistani and Kashmiri community in Kuwait attended the program. The program included showing of a Documentary Film on the Struggle of the Kashmiri People and the atrocities being perpetrated by the Occupying Forces.

The Charge D' Affaires, read out the Massage of the President of Pakistan and in his brief address, highlighted the importance of the Kashmir Solidarity Day and apprised the audience about Pakistan's Principled Stand on Kashmir Issue.

The function concluded with unanimous expression of support to the just cause of the Kashmiri People and prayers for the progress, Solidarity and Prosperity of Pakistan and success of the valiant people of Kashmir in their struggle for right to self-determination.
